Obituary
Pat Lemon Patricia Ann Hill Warburton Lemon passed away peacefully Sunday, August 3, 2008, at the age of 83. Pat was born March 1, 1925, in Kimball, Nebraska, to Ralph T. and Neva Mangan Hill. She graduated from Sidney High School and the University of Wyoming. Over her life, Pat lived in Nebraska, Wyoming, Oregon and Utah, and traveled through every state after her retirement. Pat married Heber John Warburton in Sidney, Nebraska, September 1, 1945; their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1966. John passed away March 31, 1976. Pat married Merlin Shaw Lemon May 25, 1977, in Layton, Utah. They recently celebrated their 31st anniversary.
She gave birth to three children, Jeffrey Ralph Warburton (deceased), Bradley John (Mickie) Warburton and Lisa Janeen (Robert) Glad). She gained six children in her second marriage, LaDawn (Kent) Oman, Linda (Gene) Merrill, Janet (Joel) Turner, Bryce (Tamara) Lemon, Judy Lynn (Steve) Nelson, and Sharon Davis. She has been a cherished mother and grandmother to all.
Pat was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many ways, most enjoyably as pianist and organist in many callings. Pat and Merlin served a mission for the church in the British Columbia Vancouver Mission, 1992-1993. She retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1985 after 24 years working as an accountant. Needlework of many types, particularly knitting, provided many hours of enjoyment and many cherished gifts for friends and family members. She loved to read and her side table was always full of books and magazines; her day was not complete without a thorough reading of the morning newspaper.
Pat was preceded in death by her first husband John and oldest son Jeff. She is survived by six daughters and two sons and their spouses, 24 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and former daughter-in-law, Danielle (Tom) Christopulos.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Summerwood Ward, 1410 E. Gentile, Layton. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
