Franklin Mint Whaling Series
In 1976, Jack Coughlin was commissioned by The Franklin Mint Gallery of Fine Art under the auspices of the Whaling Museum at New Bedford to create a series of four original whaling etchings depicting scenes from the epic whaling stores.

These are original etchings created exclusively for this series and issued in limited edition.  Each were matted and framed handsomely in simple wooden frames, with a plastic sheet for glass, and a Certificate of Authenticity dated March 11, 1977, adhered to the backing.

Only three of the prints are included in our collection.
