View of block 101 (between Lincoln Street on left side and Grant Street on right side) from the grounds of Crowell Mansion. Houses in front are on the east side of 22nd street. Note the German Lutheran Church building in the center left. The back of the old Christian Church can to the right of the Lutheran church. (The old church structure was moved onto the site about 1884, an addition was added in 1895 and the church burned in 1918.) The Baptist church can be viewed almost in the center of the photo and a little to the right. The house in the left bottom corner of the photo still stands today at 2163 Lincoln Street.
