Orchard and Wilhelm Carpet Co.
Founded in 1893, following a fire that put the Orchard & Bean Co. out of business, the company built a new four-story building at 15th and Douglas Streets. Orchard and Wilhelm became one of the largest home furnishing stores in the United States and continued doing business in Omaha until 1967.
