Praline Cheese Cake

A recipe featured on the Country Music Association Awards Show, 1974.

1 cup graham cracker crumbs
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons margarine, melted
3 packages cream cheese(8-ounce pkg.)
1 1/4 cups dark brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons flour
3 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

Heat oven to 350º. Combine crumbs, sugar and margarine and press into bottom of 9-inch spring form pan. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes. Increase oven temperature to 450º.

Combine softened cream cheese, sugar, flour, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in vanilla and nuts. Pour mixture over crumbs.

Bake at 450º for 10 minutes.  Reduce oven temperature to 250º; continue baking for 30-50 minutes until cake is set and light brown.  Loosen cake from rim of pan and cool before removing from the pan.  Chill. Brush with maple syrup and pecan halves.
