This recipe was taken from the Karo® corn syrup label. Walnuts make a good alternative for pecans. I also like to use the filling for tarts. --NKrämer 3 eggs, slightly beaten 1 cup light or dark corn syrup 1 cup sugar 2 tablespoons flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon butter, melted 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 1/2 cups pecans or walnuts Pie Crust Pastry
Prepare pie crust pastry (single crust). In large bowl, combine first 6 ingredients until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into pie crust. Bake in 350°F oven 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Cool. |
