"The Tower" photo by Shovick Service.

The tower at Genoa, Colorado, six stories high with glassed and open observation decks, was built in the early 1900s by C. W. Gregory. Genoa is the highest point between Denver and New York City, and six states are visible: painted on the tower is "By Ripley in Believe It or Not, States to be Seen. Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota, Kansas, N. Mexico." The ground level building has a scalloped roofline, and reads, "World's Wonder View from Tower. Cafe." An Aromax gas pump and a stone sign are at the edge of the large parking lot.

Shovick.

Title hand-written on back of photoprint.
